Lacey Green Stores opened its doors for the first time today (Thursday 16th July), in a low-key
ceremony attended by members of the parish and county council. The shop located in a part of the
Lacey Green and Loosely Row Millennium Hall and also incorporates the existing Post Office service.
The schedule for opening will initially be Mondays and Thursdays, from 08.30 to 1 pm. to
coincide with those of the Post Office and coffee mornings already in place.
We hope to see you there and that that you will make use of the Store. It will be well stocked
with items that are most needed on a day to day basis and prices will be competitive. There will
be something for every one ranging from pet food to sweets, washing powder to biscuits.
If you think other items should be stocked, please let us know and we will do our best to
include them as the Store develops.
We will not be selling alcohol and cigarettes as these do pose a security risk but most other
none perishable items will be on display.
The shop will be run by a team of volunteers supported by the Lacey Green Community Planning
Group and the Village Hall Committee. We can always use more people, so if you would like to
help in any way with this project please contact:
